I don’t think anyone will disagree that the winter of 2016 was out of the ordinary, in terms of how much rain fell. This family in Lobethal had a major problem this winter, with water leaking down the inside of their lounge room wall every time it rained heavily.

After a careful inspection of the site Shane guessed that the original installers probably hadn’t thought we’d ever have a winter like the one we were experiencing, so the waterproofing around the base of the chimney just wasn’t up to the job. Later that week he was back with the materials and in a couple of hours he’d made sure no water was getting back into this roof.

Now the owners can rest easy each time it rains, without suffering that sinking feeling that if it gets any heavier the old ‘water feature’ in the lounge was going to be switched back on.
